Ready, Set, WRITE!

Bookwork's done for the day, blogs read, emails caught up, lists made, breakfast eaten.
It's now time to write. Or in my case read and tweak.
I need to set a new agenda, a new normal. For the past several months, I've only been able to write when I'm not at home. But that needs to change. I need to be able to write here instead of at the library, coffee shop, or Panera.
So I'm buckling down, diving in, gearing up...whatever.
I'll try to post my progress later today.
Are you writing today? Care to post your progress later?

  1. Yay for writing! Glad to hear you're starting to set a new routine :)

    Hmm....I haven't written a word in probably a month.

  3. I'll join you. I'm editing still, but hope to start writing new scenes this afternoon too. I'll try and remember to come back and let you know how I did.

    Happy writing, Erica!

  4. I just finished my first draft of BROKEN WINGS so am taking a breather and devouring writing books before I begin the editing. Have read THE FIRE IN FICTION so far and started on JSB's Revision and Self-Editing. Will update the spreadsheet on my mss. this afternoon to reflect the last half of the book and see where the plot holes are.

My best to you in setting up a new routine--might make you even MORE creative . . . if that's possible :-) You do inspire me, you know!!

  5. I'm trying to write... I actually had a productive morning. I'm on p. 236 of Beneath a Velvet Sky for my read throughs. Hoping to finish today. Right now, Brogan is playing in Bubba's water dish. I gotta run :)

  6. Summer's such a struggle for me. My commitments seem to snowball. Good luck finding your groove. I'm polishing a few revised chapters after I go grocery shopping. Yippee.

    Have fun!

  7. Hi Erica,
Hmmm...writing goal for today? How about 500 words on my newest WIP? I'm also trying to write the hook and back cover blurb too (thankfully got the synopsis written already this morning!). I'll try to remember to check back later and see how you did!

  8. Lol, I'm still not even done checking blogs for today. I had housework and an appliance delivery earlier, as well as three kids who wanted a lot of attention. Oh, boy! Where has the time gone?

  9. Couldn't get the 500 done. But I did get hook, back cover blurb, and character sketches, and a couple hundred more words written. But my eyelids are drooping now, so I'm heading to bed! Hope you got your work done!

  10. Jody, it looks like you got plenty done!

I got 2/3 of the novel read and tweaked. I'm really happy with it. It's been so long since I looked at it, and now I feel like I'm back in the flow.

    How'd everyone else do?
