Fill In The Blank Friday

Isn't this little lady beautiful? My friend Ed Higgins showed me this tiny bird who had nested in his clematis vines right beside his front door. She was so wee and still, watching me and covering up her babies.

So, this week's Fill In The Blank Friday is: My favorite thing about summer is _________________.

  4. Aw, sweet little bird! We have a mama robin in the tree by our front window. Every now and then I'll see her dropping food from her mouth into the nest. :)

My favorite part of summer? Warm sunshine and swimming!

  8. My favorite thing about summer is having my teacher hubby home. I enjoy spending more time with him than I can during the school year. Another favorite thing is my birthday, which falls smack dab in the middle of summer. And this particular summer, I'm looking forward to the release of my debut novel. :-)

  9. I love it when all the regular meetings take a summer break so my evenings are free. After dinner there's no rush from the table... time for a second cup of coffee on the deck.

    1. That is a nice thing, isn't it, Carol? Though I miss hanging with the people, I don't miss the rush-rush busyness of it all.
